Tippmann Cronus

Tippmann Cronus

Fort Wayne, Ind. – On the heels of introducing its exciting Crossover XVR, Tippmann is pleased to announce an aggressive new rollout plan that encompasses: two new markers, a new goggle, an update for the TiPX paintball pistol, and a rebate program designed to deliver savings to players while increasing foot traffic to paintball retailers during the upcoming holiday shopping season.

Let’s begin with the markers. The all-new Tippmann Cronus combines performance and durability in an attention-grabbing milsim body and starts at the amazingly low retail price of $79 (for the Cronus Basic). The marker’s high-impact, composite construction is extremely lightweight and features molded-rubber grips and an internal gas line for enhanced comfort, control, and maneuverability. The Cronus also offers four picatinny rails for fast and easy modification and utilizes Tippmann’s proven in-line bolt system. The Cronus will also be available in a Tactical Edition (pictured above), which adds a mock silencer with sight, a carry handle, and an adjustable stock. The Cronus Tactical Edition will have a retail price of $109 and will be available in November. Both the Basic and Tactical versions of the Cronus capitalize on the growing popularity of the military’s black-and-tan color combination and deliver legendary Tippmann durability and a unique new appearance at a tremendous value.

Under its U.S. Army Paintball brand, Tippmann is also excited to introduce a new-look Project Salvo marker. The Project Salvo Desert Tan features a tan-colored body, stock and shroud, with black accents for an eye-catching new color combination. Available this fall, the updated Project Salvo Desert Tan will retail for $159.

In a related development, those players looking to add color to their paintball arsenal may want to consider the new shells Tippmann is introducing for its popular TiPX pistol. Two new shells – tan and olive – are being offered to allow players with black TiPX pistols to easily upgrade to these new colors. The TiPX pistol shells will be sold for $29.95 and will be available soon.

Tippmann – New Markers/Year-End Promotion

The final product news from Tippmann is the retail availability of the company’s Intrepid Goggle. This new goggle offers players enhanced visibility, added comfort, and additional coverage. Key features include: a spherical dual-pane thermal lens with anti-fog coating, a silicone-lined strap, a detachable visor, soft open-cell foam, and a flexible lower face shield. The Intrepid Goggle will ship in October and will be sold for $49.95.

Just in case this flurry of new and enhanced products isn’t enough, Tippmann is also announcing a fall promotion to help spur paintball sales during the upcoming holiday shopping season. The promotion, which runs October 15 to January 15, delivers a $30 rebate to anyone who purchases a 98 Custom or A-5 marker and a $20 rebate to anyone who purchases an FT-12 marker from participating paintball retailers. The rebate will be provided in the form of an American Express® Rewards Card, which can be utilized wherever American Express® is accepted. Enrollment is easy and can be completed online quickly. This in-store promotion will be supported with counter cards at participating dealers as well as online through banner advertising and social media.

“This is the most aggressive fall promotion we’ve ever launched,” said Ron Goldblatt, director of marketing for Tippmann Sports. “We believe these new and enhanced products – in combination with a generous rebate program – will help get players excited and increase traffic to paintball stores during these next few months, which are so incredibly important for retailers everywhere.”
