The Sly Profit
I bought these before last weekend because I "miss-placed" my other set in the boss mans truck, and he was out of town :) To be fair I will start with the good things about these goggles, first off they are so very comfy. The foam around the ears and goggle frame are so nice I could sleep in them. Lens cleaning on these is a snap. pop off a small clamp on each side to remove the strap, and the lenses slide right out. The profile of the profit is super tiny and the double strap is one of the coolest things on them.
"Whats wrong then?" you ask...
Well to start the comfy ear foam completely covers your ears making it nearly impossible to hear anything more than muffled garble from few feet away. Also when you try to communicate on the field its like yelling into your own ear. To remedy that i did what any other self respecting paintball player would do. I got my box knife out and went to cutting. I cut them to keep the comfy and also let in all the wonderful sounds of paintball. It worked!! For the most part. It also comes with a very dark tinted lens which is cool but its very very dark. But the worst of all is that this thing don't breath. The ventilation in the face shield is non existent, i was constantly breathing down so I didn't stifle myself during play. I know a lot of money goes into designing these and all paintball goggles but to overlook things like breathing and hearing is very unfortunate.
So if your looking for a new set of face ware to protect your good looks..... I hope this helps.
