Continuing its tradition of hiring top-level talent, Tippmann Sports is pleased to announce the addition of Mitch Bivens and Danial Jones. These two hires strengthen the company’s already strong Research & Development team and help advance its commitment to leading the way when it comes to product design and innovative paintball technology.
Bivens joins the company as Director of Research & Development, Engineering & Product Design. Prior to joining Tippmann, he held the position of Chief Engineer at Navistar, Inc., where he was responsible for a large team of designers, engineers and managers. Bivens’ well-rounded background brings extensive project management skills, engineering knowledge, and overall leadership abilities to Tippmann Sports. He holds an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University, a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue, and has earned Six Sigma Black-Belt Certification. He will work closely with and report to Denny Tippmann, Jr., the company’s Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Research and Development.
Before joining Tippmann Sports, Jones spent seven years as Lead Design Engineer at Smart Parts. Jones will fill the role of Senior Product Engineer at Tippmann Sports. Jones is well known to many in the paintball industry for his paintball marker designs of the popular Ion marker, ’03-’09 Shocker, ’09 Impulse, Nerve and Luxe. In addition, Jones holds more than 50 patents in a variety of paintball equipment categories, including markers, air systems, and aftermarket products. He will report to Bivens and will also work closely with Denny Tippmann, Jr.
