Live at WCPPL Cal Jam at SC Village
"Cal Jam is Back!" That's what all the fliers, promotions and hype have been saying for months now, as it was announced early into 2010 that Cal Jam, one of the largest and most legendary annual paintball events in the game, would be returning from its 6+ year hiatus. The news continued to get even better when it was revealed that Cal Jam would once again be held at the field where the series made its debut more than 12 years ago, the world famous SC Village Paintball Park in Corona, CA.
Cal Jam is now a part of the West Coast Paintball Players League, the West Coast regional series produced by Mike Hinman of Dynasty and Aftermath fame. The event will last three days, with prelims for two divisions starting early tomorrow. All games will be held on the renown "Arena" portion of SC Village, which is credited with being the first ever paintball tournament practice facility in history. Mike and crew are currently putting the final touches on all the airball fields for the weekend, where more than 70 teams will vie for one of the most pretigeous titles in paintball, Cal Jam champion.
PaintBall.com will be live and on-site for the entire event, providing scoring coverage, photos and full team bios of all the squads participating in the tournament. We'll also be unveiling our new "Teams" section of the forums throughout Cal Jam, where each team from each division will be specially featured and highlighted with their own section, a first for non-pro event coverage.
