Practice your shots at home

Practice your shots at home

The common paintball has gone high tech with Lazerballs introducing reusable paintballs. These are the way to take the paintball field home. These balls are all about who wants to be the best. With the high demands of the frequent paintball player in mind, Lazerball has taken high performance foam and turned it into a paintball sized projectile that you can shoot over and over again. Imagine practicing your snap-shots at home and not having to worry about making a mess. Plus the balls are reusable. I was lucky enough to take some and test them for a weekend of play.

The bright florescent orange color is the first thing you will notice about the Lazerballs. The color goes throughout the ball to make sure it never loses its color unlike all those cheap spray on colors. The color makes for an easy recollection of the balls after you have blasted your target. They stand out like a sore thumb.

The soft high tech foam is created for hundreds of reuses. Lazerballs are safe and they don’t leave any paint on what was shot. Although they are foam they still pack the punch of a paintball. On the down side the Lazerballs have a hard time feeding out of any force feed loaders, so an agitated loader is preferable like the Reloader and Revolution.

For testing, I set up a 10 by 10 tarp to catch the Lazerballs. I used a standard set of 90 Lazerballs and shot them into the tarp. The accuracy was great at close ranges so I stepped out a little bit further to about 50 to 60ft and found they were still pretty accurate, so I stepped out so I was about 100ft away from the tarp and found out that it was pushing the limits to hit the tarp. The range wasn’t the best but they were still surprisingly accurate. The collection of the Lazerballs was pretty easy considering the color and they were in an area of about 15ft away from the tarp.

For the price, Lazerballs are a great way to take home the sport and get better at any skill that needs to be improved upon. I would say that Lazerballs did a pretty good job making the sport more affordable and fun for everyone that wants to get better. Now the only thing holding me back from practicing all the time at home is my air.
