Why Dual Ball Detents?

Why Dual Ball Detents?

I was wondering exactly how the dual ball detents help on the Matrix, as opposed to just one?

Thanks,
Justin

Justin,

The ball detents keep the ball from rolling down into the barrel and allowing double feeds. Having a single ball detent theoretically throws the system out of balance. Equal and opposite ball detents, like the Matrix has, are designed to keep everything in balance.

As an example: If you are walking along and someone pushes you on just one shoulder, you are going to spin (a paintball spinning sideways is bad). If you get pushed in both arms, you won't spin sideways (which for a paintball is good).

I hope this helps,
